lessons from scene 1

friends, our blog is not just about entertaining you... NO, absolutely not!

its also about educating you, about providing you the important lessons that our movies teach us, and which are to be found in EVERY scene of the movie, especially a daringly "different" movie like ours!

So, what does Scene 1 teach us.... the lesser mortals??

Well, if one notices carefully, we can decipher, that Art imitates Life... what with the kid growing up to be the hero by frinking milk (just like our skip...Dhoni!)

Secondly, and it's very important.... drinking milk, makes us "baddaa aadmi" ...... never mind in which way you chose to take it!

Also, an 'isckool' that runs for just 5 minutes, can also produce successful and bright wonders of the world a la the hero and his sister....

Well, the authors hvae tried to understand a few lessons from this scene.... but the viewers/ readers are free to share the lessons they have learnt from this scene :)

the movie begins..... scene 1

The scene begins with sunrise. Against the backdrop, we see a middle-aged woman, in tattered clothes, shabby hair and a never gonna go cough is preparing some food by burning wood (and some food, in the process). Let’s just call her "Maa" or "A-N-S-B"* suddenly, two lanky and irritatingly perfect kids come running in the room. Lets call them "Munna" and "Munni" (innovation, indeed!) What follows is an extremely deep conversation amidst the three:

Munni (M1): Maa…. Khaana do, bhookh lagi hai

Munna (M2):
haan maa, ab to haemin iskool bhi jaana hai

ANSB looks helplessly at her kids…..

ANSB: beta, ye lo doodh pi lo

M1 is drinking the milk, while M2 questions…

M2: Maa, mujhe doodh nahi peena…. Main isse kyun peeyu?

ANSB: beta, doodh pilo… bada aadmi banna hai na?!

M2: theek hai Maa… and drinks

Then both the kids run away to school… while ANSB is left behind to burn some more wood and food!

CUT TO isckool… M1 and M2 enter the premises... and the teacher calls out to them..

Teacher (a wannabe in a cotton saree, with thick black glasses and a birds nest for hair) : Raju… Rani… aao, sab ke liye praarthana gaao

Raju and Rani (our very own M1 and M2 in disguise) come ahead, and sing a beautiful bhajan in Lata Mangeshkar’s voice… (voice transplant, anyone?!) and all children sing along…

CUT TO bell ringing and school day ends!
